Well, it’s the RER, not the Metro – costs 9.50 euro each way, and I believe others will tell you that it’s as safe at 9pm as other times as long as you stay wary about pickpockets.
As a matter of fact, since it’s past the rush hour, and probably less crowded, you may be safer..
